Helena has worked in the health sector for many years, and is committed to developing services that better meet the needs of people from marginalised and disadvantaged communities.

She is currently working at the Royal Women's Hospital, providing strategic advice about advocacy and philanthropy.

Other work has included developing community controlled primary health care services for remote Aboriginal communities and programs to strengthen community participation in Melbourne's public hospitals.

She has a Masters of Public Policy and Management and has often benefited from the services at North Yarra Community Health.
