Casework / Counselling

The Casework Counselling service offers short term casework, individual, family and group counselling.

The casework service offers clients practical assistance such as referral to appropriate community agencies, advocacy and limited financial assistance.

There are many reasons why people might attend counselling however some common reasons include an experience of anxiety, depression, grief and loss and incidences of trauma such as childhood sexual abuse or family violence. We also run groups that can help with these concerns.

The Casework Counsellors at North Yarra Community Health are based at Collingwood, Carlton and Fitzroy sites. There are both male and female Casework Counsellors. A variety of different approaches, for individuals, families and groups, are used to suit the client's needs.

The Casework Counselling Service can be contacted through the Casework Counselling Intake Worker at the Carlton, Collingwood or Fitzroy sites through reception. Interpreters are booked when required.
